How does pricing work?
Computer services have the flat prices listed above, and I confirm the price before I start. Home repair is $65/hour with a one-hour minimum, or a flat quote for a defined job. Ethernet runs are priced per run, plus the cost of cable and wall plates. For custom builds, the consultation fee is credited toward your build. You approve the price before any work begins.
Who pays for parts and materials?
For computer upgrades and builds, you can bring your own, or I can source compatible parts for a sourcing fee on top of the parts cost. Parts are paid for before I order them. For home jobs, you can supply materials, or I can pick them up for a sourcing fee on top of the receipted cost.
Where do you work, and how do I book?
Lakewood, Cerritos, Artesia, Bellflower, Hawaiian Gardens, Long Beach, and nearby. Send a quote request below with a short description of the job, and I’ll follow up to schedule an appointment.
How do I pay?
Cash, Zelle, or Venmo, due when the job is finished. Parts are paid for in advance.
What if something isn’t right?
I stand behind my work. If something I did isn’t right, tell me within 30 days and I’ll come back and fix it at no charge. This doesn’t cover parts you supplied or new, unrelated problems.
What kinds of computers do you work on?
Windows PCs and laptops, plus Linux installs for older machines. I also build custom desktop PCs for gaming, work, and creative use.
What happens to my files when you work on my computer?
I back up your files first where possible. I won’t go through your personal files. I can’t guarantee recovery from a drive that has already failed.
Are you a licensed contractor?
No. I take small home repair jobs that California allows without a contractor license: under $1,000 total for labor and materials, no permit required. Anything bigger, I’ll point you to a licensed professional. Computer work doesn’t require a contractor license.
What home jobs don’t you do?
New electrical or plumbing work, gas lines, framing or structural changes, roofing, flooring, windows, and anything that needs a permit. I also don’t drill into tile. In homes built before 1978, I don’t sand or demolish painted surfaces because of lead paint. If it’s outside what I do, I’ll tell you up front.
Do you do electrical or plumbing at all?
Only like-for-like swaps of a faucet or light fixture, with no new wiring and no new water lines. If I see something that shouldn’t be touched, I’ll stop and recommend a licensed electrician or plumber.
